Jijji, from the Phillipines, and Hugh, a Jesuit High graduate, push their newborn past the
vegetable vendor at the Country Club Plaza farmers’ market despite a slight overcast. According to Hugh, the most interesting fruit at the May market is the Mulberry fruit.
Despite being only a worth a couple of small bites, to this author the Mulberry fruit proved to be incredibly sweet. Somewhat like loganberry, the small fruit tasted like a concentrated fruit syrup without the preservatives.
Despite the attractiveness of this wonderful couple, what truly caught the camera’s eye was the bristly lick of short carrots recently pulled from the ground. The table at the market looks somewhat like a scene from a magical garden spawned from the imagination of Jay Rawlings of Harry Potter fame.
